Not 1 but 2 Christmas events!

Torquay Makers Market

CCN Torquay hosted a Victorian Makers Market, 14th December, which provided an opportunity for CCN members from Torquay, Tiverton & Taunton and other local makers to sell, promote and showcase their work.

The market ran in conjunction with a Victorian Christmas Fayre hosted by Inspire, The Living Room and St Mags Church and was funded by a grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund and aimed to increase awareness of the rich cultural heritage in Upton area of Torquay

The market had 500+ visitors and created a wonderful Christmas atmosphere for the local community with many sellers dressing in Victorian costume and entering into the festive activities, some of which involved Victorian dressed characters from Unleash Theatre Company Torbay, A Victorian Choir and magic performances.

Wolverhampton Christmas Fayre

Wolverhampton CCN hosted a Christmas Fayre Saturday 30th November with 19 local makers. Bantock House Museum and Park was the perfect setting for the Fayre, sitting in 48 acres of surrounding parkland in the heart of Wolverhampton.
With free parking and a nearby children’s play area, footfall was great and at times it was hard to move through the crowds.
Items for sale ranged from handmade bespoke silver jewellery, fine art and sculpture to mini photography shoot, infused gin and artisan cheese. Funds were also raised on the day for local charity Small Wonders Stay & Play.
This year saw the fayer grow from the previous year and plans are already afoot for a bigger and better fayer Christmas 2020!
