CCN Torquay Branch Launch

January 2019 saw the launch of CCN Torquay! 44 creatives from in and around Torquay listened as branch leader, Jo Leach, shared the vision of the network. People also travelled from Paignton, Brixham, Taunton and Combeinteignhead.
The branch will continue to meet 2nd Friday of the month, 7.30pm, at St Mags Church, Union Street, Torquay, TQ1 4BX.
Jo is a creative encourager and teacher, as well as a maker and artist. She lives in Torquay, on the South Coast in Devon, having moved in 2018 from the West Midlands with her husband Sam and twins, Ellie and Isaac.
The vision of Christian Creative Network is to champion creativity in the body of Christ and it does this through providing a FREE network for Christian creatives, made up of branches up and down the UK. Each branch has a monthly meet and an online Facebook group for local networking. Branches run ‘workshops’ and host ‘events’, which equip creatives and provide opportunities to showcase individuals creativity.

At the launch, Jo shared plans for the Torquay branch including a proposed exhibition and Christmas fayre. People were invited to fill in a questionnaire indicating the types of events they would be interested in and indicate if they could run workshops that would equip members in their creative journey.
Founder Josie Gamble will be joining the branch for their second monthly meet, February 8th and then running the branches first workshop, ‘How to use social media to promote your creativity’. Book workshop
After sharing the vision for the branch, the rest of the evening was then given over to networking as people connected with one another and shared their passions.
