CCN Essex Thurrock Branch Leader: Wendi Lee
Wendi is based in Thurrock having lived in South Essex for over 30 years.
She studied Printed Textiles (BA Hons) at Camberwell School of Art & Crafts in London having always been interested in the use of colour, pattern, design and form.
Her professional career has taken her from being a colourist to a teacher and she has also worked in Health Improvement/Public Health within the NHS and has a growing interest in how ‘Creativity’ can support positive mental health and the emotional health and wellbeing of individuals.
Matthew Chapter 5 verses 13-16 from The Message translation of the Bible encourages Christians to be ‘Light’ and share what we do, so encouraging others creativity is one of the activities that Wendi is involved with at Proximity Church in Stanford le Hope and through other wider local community projects. As a branch leader in Essex she is excited to continue to connect with others who share the same vision of Christian Creative Network.
Wendi’s more recent work includes:- painting, photography, bowl-making and card-making and she is always motivated to find new techniques and ways to express her creativity and learn from others in their creative journeys!
